A few days ago, at the site of the AGCC ethylene project in Russia, XCMG 2000-ton crawler crane XGC28000, together with a 2500-ton gantry hydraulic hoisting system, successfully realized the installation of the first large-scale equipment fast quenching tower under the tail slipping of the main boom, helping to make critical progress in the implementation of the project.
It is reported that the total weight of the fast quenching tower is 1500 tons, with a height of 80.61 meters and a diameter of 13 meters. It is the heaviest equipment in the ethylene plant. The hoisting lasted only for 9 hours, letting the world to witness once again the strong quality and strength of “Made in China”.
With the obvious advantages of maturity, safety and reliability, XCMG 2000-ton crane has become the main hoisting equipment of the Russian AGCC project. After receiving the task, the machine was immediately moved from China to Russia, overcoming many difficulties such as floods and epidemics in the transporting process.
After arriving at the site, XGC28000 used its 84-meter main boom & 54-meter tower jib to complete the assembly of the 2500-ton hydraulic hoisting system for the main lifting equipment. It took only one day to complete the deformation with high efficiency, entered the tail-slip station with the working condition of the 60-meter main arm, and successfully completed the task with the 2500-ton hoisting system.
The whole hoisting process was stable, controlled and accurate, which was highly appraised by the owner's project leaders who observed on the spot.
As a demonstration project of production capacity cooperation between China and Russia, the AGCC project is a key project of “Belt and Road Initiative”. When completed, the project will become one of the largest polymer plants in the world, with a polymer capacity of 2.7 million tons per year for the production of clothing, medical devices, wires and other household and industrial products.
In April 2013, the XGC28000 crawler crane in Sinopec Quanzhou oil refining base, installing a wax oil hydrocracking reactor with a net weight of 1240.2 tons and a total lifting weight of 1340 tons, setting a new hoisting record for itself.
In August 2015, the XGC28000 crawler crane successfully completed the first hoisting process of the world's first “Hualong No.1” demonstration project at the Fuqing Nuclear Power Station of the China Nuclear Corporation, completing the perfect debut of XCMG's foray into the nuclear power field.
At the end of 2016, XGC28000 crawler crane, carried on a semi-submersible vessel, successfully completed the installation of 4MW offshore wind turbines, creating a precedent in offshore wind power hoisting technology for kiloton class crawler cranes.
At the end of 2017, in the Yongding River Bridge project in Beijing, the XGC28000 crawler crane achieved millimeter precision hoisting with its courage to be a forerunner, successfully setting a new record in history.
In May 2018, XCMG 2000-ton crawler crane XGC28000 successfully completed the first batch of “Hualong No.1” demonstration project in China -- the dome hoisting of the No. 3 reactor building of Fangchenggang Nuclear Power Plant.
In January 2020, XCMG XGC28000 crawler crane successfully installed the first 8MW offshore wind turbine in China, raising the record of the largest offshore wind turbine installed in China to 8MW, and setting a new milestone in the hoisting of wind power equipment in China.
In June 2021, XGC28000 successfully completed the hoisting of the torch tower of a large refining and chemical base in southeastern China with the maximum jib length of 108m and 96m, and set a new record for the maximum height of 2000 ton crawler crane in China with the maximum hoisting height of 168m.
