XCMG JP42C1 water tower fire truck is a main battle vehicle having functions of water tanker, foam truck and high-spray truck. It is widely used in fire fighting and rescue work in middle and high-rise buildings in towns, mines, oil fields, and factories. It is a preferred equipment in fire fighting of middle and high-rise buildings, in rescue of person in distress and rescue of property.

The water tower fire truck adopts the German Mercedes Actros 3344 car chassis, and the superstructure is of the full-swing, straight telescopic boom + crank structure. All the moving mechanisms adopt the electric control and hydraulic drive, so the truck features with easy operation, flexible action, safety and reliability, and strong practicability. A computer is used to automatically control the limit position of the deceleration and stop, so that the operation is rapid, labor-saving, convenient, and stable, and has a larger range of speed, flexible inching and accurate movement. The effective cooperation of the straight telescopic boom + crank arm provides an excellent high-altitude cross-barrier capability, with a wider operating range than that of the folded-boom fire truck.
